The boy who looked death in the face twice, & survived because of you!
Ember was the boy who came out of nowhere, & stole our hearts instantly. His owner was going to euthanize him, & had a Kijiji ad up that went viral within hours. We woke up to all our social media inboxes slammed with pleas to help him. We agreed & took him in, and freed him from the chains he lived on outside. Within 20 min of having him, he threw up a tennis ball, followed by projectile vomit debris. His breathing became laboured, & a rush to the emergency vet was the only option as this boy was dying and we didn’t know why.
The vet found the biggest blockage she had ever seen, in his tummy & in his bowels. He needed surgery immediately, & time was not on our side. We took him in prepared for a behavioural case that needed training, & learned quickly that was the least of our issues.
While in surgery we threw up a fundraiser to help with costs in hopes for a miracle as this was so unexpected. The community united & didn’t disappoint. Within hours his whole surgery was fundraised & the boys life was saved. They found everything from shards of bones, to metal, cloth and unidentifiable objects all inside his body. How he survived??? We still have no idea. Ember truly is a walking miracle, & its now time for this boy to find the forever home he truly deserves.
Ember is a very confident dog who needs structure & boundaries. He has an independent personality, but thrives off a strong handler who can not overstep personal space. He absolutely adores our trainer Brent. He doesn’t warm up to new people right away, but when he trusts you he becomes your best pal. Ember would do best in a mature home that is more laid back and quieter. He needs a home that will continue all the hard work we have put into training with him.
✅ A one on one free training session with our trainer & Ember will be mandatory for adoption. We are looking for committed adopters who won’t let this boy down.

Our boy Rocky is ready to find his forever home.
This handsome boy is a puppy trapped in an older man’s body. Rocky had a back leg amputation when he was a puppy, and doesn’t have the best of eyes. But don’t let that fool you… If you have a ball this boy will play catch for hours. Fetch is Rocky’s all time favourite game. Never met any dog that loves a ball as much as this guy.
Rocky didn’t do well with new strangers coming into the house in his previous home, as well as snapping a young children when he was eating his food. These two issues led him to be surrendered to a local shelter that we pulled him from.
We have trained Rocky the “place” command so he has boundaries when new people enter the home. He has no issues eating with us, and we feel there wasn’t proper boundaries set in place in his previous home. He doesn’t resource guard his food or care when your around.
He’s naturally a lover who just wants to follow you around and play. Rocky doesn’t need an overly active home as playing with his ball will burn out his energy nicely. He would be amazing for a retired home with a fenced in property that he can just be with his people, and play ball whenever he can.
Rocky’s back leg amputation does not effect his mobility at all and doesn’t stop him from chasing that ball. Let’s find this boy the home he truly deserves.

Our boy Chico is now available for adoption. Chico was removed from a local shelter as part of our “Save our Shelter Shepherds” campaign. Chico had pretty bad dog reactivity, is very strong and was hard to handle. This boy was sent to our amazing trainers at Complete K9 Care Where he has been a favourite by everyone. Chico thrives off of structure, and completely ignores dogs now when on walks or passing. The routine structure is important for him to thrive so his strength is completely manageable.
The potential approved adopter will do a mandatory one on one private training session with our trainer. This session is free as it is included with the adoption. This will be set in place to make sure not only Chico is set up for success… but for the family’s success as well to enjoy this amazing dog. We invest so much mentally, financially, emotionally and physically into our dogs, so we need to make sure they go to serious homes who will continue the hard work we have put in.
Chico is a big boy, and will still get a bit bigger as he matures. He needs a strong handler who will continue his training that we have put in place for him. Chico has an amazing personality and just loves everyone, as he is one big goof ball. He will make an amazing family dog as people are his favourite.

Jade was dumped at a shelter because of old age. We pulled her out to give her the chance she deserves, because age is just a number. Our sweet senior girl is looking for her forever family. Jade is so laid back and just wants to be with people. She loves to follow you around and is pretty low maintenance. Playing fetch with her ball is her favourite. This girl is perfect for the laid back family who will enjoy her company as much as she does yours. Jade is a real sweetheart to have around.

Arya came to us as a puppy. This girl was under socialized and needed guidance on learning how to be a dog. Her foster family have been so amazing with training Arya as she came not housetrained, would nip if you touched her feet and would non stop bark.
Arya needed routine, consistency and a structured environment. She was placed in a home with other dogs who helped teach Arya boundaries, and she learned quickly off of them as well.
Arya is your typical husky. She has a lot of energy and needs to let it out. She would not do well in a condo or apartment and would thrive with room to play, and a fenced in back yard. She also would thrive in a home with another dog or dogs. No cats or small animals.
Aryas foster home has worked hard with her not barking at everything anymore, and can touch her feet without nipping. Her foster mom has made it a point to always try and touch her feet to help her work over her issues. She said Arya has come so far and is such a good girl with small reminders. She is still young and a typical husky so a husky experienced home is best.

This right here… is the sweetest paralyzed boy you will ever meet. Toto was run over by a car and left to die in Egypt. He had a huge slice in his back which we are unsure if it came from the car tragedy or something else, and he underwent surgery to close these injuries to save his life.
Toto has been in Canada for a while now, and is loving life. Toto has been doing water therapy which he seems to really enjoy. Don’t let this paralyzed boy fool you, he can whip around and get places pretty quickly.
In the home Toto scoots around on his bum, and will follow you anywhere. Outside the home he uses his wheelchair that we bought for him, and it will go with him once he’s adopted.
Toto can go to the bathroom on his own, but he is not housetrained. He wears cloth washable diapers.

Zelda is our last remaining dog that came from the horrible Niagara Falls abuse property. These dogs were living in horrible conditions and were neglected for way to long before being found.
Zelda was rescued pregnant and was one of the females who was used for breeding. She knows no life outside of breeding, and went to our trusted trainers at Complete K9 Care since the day we removed her from the humane society months ago.
Zelda is still very scared, and came to us as feral as a coyote. Our trainers have worked hard for months with her building bonds, routine and structure. Zelda will take months if not years to come more out of her shell. We are looking for a foster to adopt that would love to continue to help this girl with guidance from our trainers, on learning how to be a dog again. Zelda is quiet and a very clean girl. She thrives off of structure and routine. She is never off leash outside even in a back yard as she is a flight risk. She enjoys places she only knows and is NOT good in busy places with a lot of commotion. A home with a fenced in backyard she can hang out in is what she prefers.
Zelda is 6-7 years old
Spayed, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations. She needs a Quiet home, with no younger kids as she gets spooked easily. She would do best in a home with another calm laid back large dog. No small dogs or cats.
Blanche & Dorothy the golden girl sisters.
These two girls are our last female adult morkies from the mill we rescued them from.
Both girls came to us very scared, and not sure of the world around them. Dorothy has a heart condition from being inbred, and because of this she can’t be put under to be fixed, and is on heart medication daily. Her medication is working well, but she will need follow ups with a vet to monitor her, and will need to take her medication for her whole life.
When Blanche was spayed she had 8 teeth removed. She is the adventurous one who likes to explore. Dorothy is more of a lap dog who wants to snuggle and be around you. Her foster mom just adores them
to pieces, and has done a phenomenal job bringing them out of their shells. Even though these girls are bonded, Dorothy will take human cuddles without her sister anytime of the day.
These two girls have to stay together, and need a home that can continue to maintain check ups for Dorothy and give her heart medication daily. These girls have been through so much but deserve a home and family of their own who won’t separate them.
Blanche is 3 years old fully vaccinated microchipped and spayed. Blanche is the adventurous one who is a social butterfly and outgoing one.
Dorothy 4 is fully vaccinated, microchipped but cannot be spayed due to her heart condition as being put under is high risk of her not making it through. Dorothy is the cuddle bug. If you have a lap she will find a way to lay on it and keep it warm.
A calm and quiet home would be ideal for these girls. Their foster mom says they are absolute sweet hearts. They bark at the cats but leave them alone shortly after. They are almost pee pad trained with the odd accident. Dorothy is the most affectionate of the two. You wouldn’t even know she has a heart condition, as she acts like a total puppy and is so happy.
Our sweet girl Sheeba is looking for her forever family. She is your typical puppy who likes to counter surf when you are cooking, she’s silly and full of energy. She’s 6.5 months old so she’s your typical puppy who just needs training. Sheeba is a very loving girl. She loves dogs, and is amazing with children. Sheeba is a boxer Shepard mix. This girl would be an amazing family dog. Please note before applying, she is a puppy and puppy’s are active and need consistency and training. Nothing tedious however they need someone who is willing to put in the work and time.
Sheeba has been in her foster home enjoying the company of active children as well as her fur sibling. She fits in easily anywhere and just wants to please.
